The Hive
The key aspect of the instillation is the ‘The Poisoning’. It involves 11 bumble bees from a series of nests that I have, unnecessarily in my opinion, had to poison. Cast maintaining their posture displaying the horror of their death. Set on a birch bark plaque, accompanied by the haunting audio recording of the”hives” last moments, it is a statement of the concerning times we live in, disturbing and horrific, created to release, relive and repay.
